How Much Marvel and “Star Wars” Is Too Much?

When you finally get tired of laser swords and grown men in pajamas.

I recently got accepted to write TV and movie features for another large media site outside of the Medium family. I was ecstatic at the opportunity to finally gain some experience putting my thoughts down in a location with a large audience, and get a little bit of steady cash as a bonus.

My mind ran wild with ideas for columns. Should I dissect the symbolism in the brilliant Breaking Bad prequel series, Better Call Saul? Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are set to release the sixth and final season of their masterpiece in the early part of 2022, with many ardent fans on the edge of their seats, counting down the days on their calendar.

Perhaps I can write about the importance of LGBTQ+ representation in the world of television and film, an avenue that will benefit many readers who may be confused about their sexuality and want some tips and advice on which entertainment options exist to ease their troubles and provide an outlet for comfort.

They told me these ideas are all fine and well, and I would certainly be entitled to pitch some of them to the editors once I get settled into the job.
